We are pleased to announce that our firm is among the finalists of the Chambers Brazil Awards 2023, which recognizes the preeminence of law firms in the main jurisdictions of the region. On the occasion, the Chambers Diversity & Inclusion survey, which reinforces the tendency of companies and offices to invest in Diversity and Inclusion practices, cites the MJAB for our work as supporters of the SHE | Sustainable Humanitarian Empowerment.

The initiative, responsible for our nomination in the publication, was born as a sustainable response to continuing AMB’s “Us For Them” campaign, designed by its President Dr. Renata Gil, due to the arrival of the Afghan judges in Brazil, given the recent conflicts and the protected crisis that have been aggravated in Afghanistan since the end of 2021. The project aims to help, through the law, Afghan families and many others who are in the condition of refugees or stateless persons.

Our constant concern to guarantee equal rights and justice to all motivated us to offer all the necessary support to judges, granting new opportunities in a sustainable environment, where they could feel integrated, in order to encourage them to model and actively implement a new area of expertise to work on matters related to international law and immigration advice. The final product was the creation of a Think-and-Do Tank, which focuses on building the foundations for the development of a global model of sustainable humanitarian empowerment through reflection and the design of public policies and, then, putting the discussions into practice through real humanitarian advocacy actions.
